We are currently serving
1600 people each week. We rely on donations from corporations and individuals to accomplish this, and thank our donors:
Moulton Memorial Baptist Church and the
Ennis & Jadrosich Endowment Fund donated
$5,000 to the St. Francis of Assisi Food Pantry in recognition for the service we provide to the community. This donation will enable our food pantry to purchase more than
30,000 lbs. of food to distribute to the poor in the Newburgh area. We are most grateful for their support.
We received a donation of
$250.00 from
Price Chopper Supermarket. We are using this grant to buy food to distribute to homeless children. There are currently
650 homeless children in the Newburgh School District that depend on school lunches for their main meal of the day. St. Francis of Assisi Food Pantry has joined with the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley and the Newburgh School District to provide backpacks of weekend food for these children.
Your donations are needed to support this children's backpack program. Donations of single serve child friendly convenience food such as fruit and pudding in plastic cups, cereal bars, single serve microwavable plastic cups of Chef boy r dee and mac and cheese, soup, small containers of juice, etc. Donations can be left at the St. Francis of Assisi Rectory, or in the Church after Mass.
